On 14th June (Sunday), 22-year-old actress Sanchita Ugale best known for her roles in the successful series including Wagle Ki Duniya and Kumkum Bhagya committed suicide in her house in the Palghar district. “A case has been reported in the jurisdiction of Acholi Police Station. She died by suicide by hanging herself in her own home. The reason for the death will be determined in the investigation. Further action will be taken accordingly. Nothing has been found so far. However, her father says he has no complaints against anyone,” the police stated.
The actress was residing in Mumbai’s Nalasopara neighbourhood with her parents and sister and was also alone at the time of the tragedy.

“Sanchita Ugale, a resident of Sai Santoshi Building in Achole village, Nalasopara East, died by suicide. She hanged herself with a sari from a ceiling fan in her bedroom. The incident occurred between 7 and 7.30 pm on 14th. She had locked the door from the inside. She was taken to the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared her dead after examination. On 15th June, based on a complaint from the deceased’s father, Machinda Ugale, Achole police registered a case of accidental death (ADR) under Section 194 of the Indian Civil Services Code (BNSS),” the police further informed.
She was well-known for playing Diya Tandon in the hit Zee TV series Kumkum Bhagya and Ruchita Jaitley in Wagle ki Duniya. Later, she was cast alongside Sorab Bedi as Sukoon in Dangal TV’s Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi. In addition to television, Ugale was also seen in films and acted as Tarabai in Vicky Kaushal starred superhit venture “Chhaava.” She continued to post videos and photos on her social media before the instance.
