Congress workers in Karnataka have unleashed violence after one of the most influential leaders in state, MLA DK Shivakumar was arrested by Enforcement Directorate last night for his alleged involvement in money laundering case.

The police FIR states that village Pradhan's representative Rajkumar Pal was aware of the unavailability of vegetables and instead of supplying them, he called a journalist and planned to shoot a video, insisting that the children are served only salt and roti.

An FIR has been registered against Mavai but he has not been arrested yet.

Earlier, former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah were detained by the J&K police in the wake of law and order situation in the state.
