AAP Social Media incharge shared photoshopped image to undermine Modi-Trump meet scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad

The US President Donald Trump is scheduled to be received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in Ahmedabad, in his home state Gujarat, and will travel to Delhi for further talks on Tuesday. The India tour of President Donald Trump is expected to be a historic landmark as beyond trade talks, the optics of Trump visiting India alone is said to boost ties between the nations.

However, as the political discourse goes in India, the scheduled between the heads of the state of the largest and the oldest democracies has not gone down well with the opposition parties who have made opposing Prime Minister Modi with crass comments, lies and propaganda the norm.

Ahead of the Trump visit to Ahmedabad, a fake, morphed image from Ahmedabad was shared in a bid to undermine the historic meet.

Tweet by AAP SM Cell incharge

Twitter user Aishwary Verma shared an image that shows a wall, painted with the image of President Donald Trump and Narendra Modi, being defaced by a urinating man. With the image, Aishwary asked other users to ‘caption the image’.

Following this tweet, another tweet was published by Aishwary in which he used the image to mock Prime Minister Modi and his supporters further.

Tweet by Aishwary

Aishwary wrote that an “innocent Bhakt” (A word used a pejorative by Leftists for supporters of PM Modi) is trying to strengthen the wall by urinating on it.

Aishwary Verma, who shared this image with pejorative connotations is actually an Aam Admi Party Social Media in charge and campaign coordinator.

Twitter bio of Aishwary Verma

The image which has been used by Verma to mock the meeting between PM Modi and President Donald Trump and also to hurl insults at the supporters of the Prime Minister is actually a hastily photoshopped image designed specifically to undermine the historic meet.

The original image is an Associated Press image that has been used in the AP article dated 18th February, headlined, “India hastily builds wall along slum ahead of Trump visit”. While this news is actually untrue and has been contested by officials, the image used by the AP article is the one which has been morphed by the AAP functionary.

Associated Press image

The AP image was clicked by photographer Ajit Solanki according to the credits mentioned in the AP article.

One can see that the image used by the AAP functionary and the one used by AP is the same since the man riding the bike appears in both images.

Image used by AAP SM incharge, original AP image

Further, if one notices carefully, there are other markers of the image being morphed.

Looking at the image, it is evident that on the wall, there is a shadow image of a nearby bush, however, there is no shadow image of the man urinating.

It is thus evident that the Associated Press image was taken by the Aam Admi Party functionary and morphed to superimpose the urinating man just to undermine and mock the meeting between Trump and PM Modi.

As a result of this fake image being propagated by AAP functionary, several crass comments started pouring in, a sample of which follows.

This is not the first time that AAP functionaries have resorted to blatant lying. Three Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers from Haryana were arrested on 29 December 2018 for circulating fake news about CM Manohar Lal Khattar. The complaint was registered by Bharatiya Janta Party, under IPC sections of 153 (provocation with intent to cause riots), 153A (promoting enmity on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, etc.) and IT Act section 66 (cyber crimes). During the Haryana Mayoral elections, an image had gone viral on social media which claimed that Khattar had said he is chief minister only for the Punjabis and he has nothing to do with other communities but he image was fake.

Right after the Pulwama attack too, an image was circulated by a Pro-AAP page on social media which quoted false data to paint the NDA government in poor light.

In fact, in April 2019, Aam Aadmi Party worker in Vadodara, Ghanshyam Parmar, who had put up morphed pictures with a fake message claiming Prime Minister Modi’s sudden death was arrested by Vadodara Police.

‘File is on Amit Shah’s table and soon they will lose citizenship’: Subramanian Swamy says Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will lose Indian citizenship

BJP MP and former Union minister Subramanian Swamy has claimed that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi are to lose their Indian citizenship soon.

While delivering a lecture on “CAA – a historical imperative beyond contemporary politics” at an event organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at the University of Hyderabad Thursday, the BJP MP said: “The file is on the Home Minister Amit Shah’s table and soon they will lose their citizenship.”

Referring to the rules of the Indian constitution, Swamy said that people taking the citizenship of another country while being an Indian citizen will automatically lose their Indian citizenship.

Swamy added that Rahul Gandhi can apply for Indian citizenship as his father (Rajiv Gandhi) was an Indian. But, the Congress leader cannot apply using his mother, Sonia Gandhi’s credentials who he claimed was not an Indian national.

Speaking at the event in Hyderabad, the BJP senior leader claimed that Rahul Gandhi had taken British citizenship to start a business in England.

In fact, on April 30 last year, MHA had reportedly issued a notice to Congress President Rahul Gandhi over the citizenship controversy which surfaced back in 2015. The Home Ministry had, in the notice issued then, cited documents of the British company BackOps where Rahul Gandhi filed returns as a British citizen.

This notice by the MHA was issued after a complaint was filed with the ministry by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy.

The citizenship row began in 2015 when Swamy cited documents pertaining to a company Backops Limited where Rahul Gandhi was the Director. In the said documents, the Congress President’s nationality was mentioned as British. Since then, the matter has been a cause of great dispute.

In November 2015, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by lawyer M.L. Sharma demanding a CBI enquiry into the matter. The highest court of the country deemed the petition ‘frivolous’. The following year in January, another BJP MP Maheish Girri filed a complaint with the Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, regarding Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship. As per the rules, she forwarded it to the Ethics Committee.

Two months later, in March, the Ethics Committee headed by veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi over the matter but nothing much came of it. It was later reported that not a single meeting was held in this regard. Since then, the matter was in a political potboiler until last year when an independent candidate from Amethi filed a complaint with the Election Commission over the matter. The EC, however, found no reason to disqualify the Congress President.

On April 30, 2019, it was reported that a notice has been sent to Rahul Gandhi by the MHA following a complaint by Subramaniam Swamy.

It may be noted that as per Section 3(a) of the Citizenship Act, any person born in India between 26 January 1950 and 1 July 1987 are Indian citizens, regardless of the citizenship of the parents. For persons born after 1 July 1987, anyone of the parents needs to be Indian citizen, and after 2003, both the parents must be Indian citizens. Rahul Gandhi was born in New Delhi in June 1970.

Delhi police asks Arvind Kejriwal’s sanction to prosecute Kanhaiya, Umar for ‘tukde tukde case’ as ‘Kattar deshbhakt’ continues to delay

0

The Delhi Police Special Cell on Wednesday wrote to the Delhi government requesting him to “expedite” the process of grant of sanction to prosecute former JNU Students’ Union president Kanhaiya Kumar, radical Islamist Umar Khalid and others in a sedition case.

According to the reports, the Delhi Police has asked the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government to clear their pending request for prosecuting controversial ultra-left wing leader Kanhaiya Kumar and others in connection with JNU sedition case.

Pramod Singh Kushwaha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, in a letter said, “It is requested to expedite the process to accord prosecution sanction under Section 196 CrPC as required for the offence under Chapter VI of the IPC i.e. Section 124A IPC.”

The request by the Delhi police comes after AAP government in Delhi led by Arvind Kejriwal, who brands himself ‘Kattar Deshbhakt’ has been reluctant to give green signal for prosecuting the ‘tukde tukde gang’ members in the JNU sedition case.

Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has repeatedly rejected Delhi Police’s request for sanction to prosecute former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) President Kanhaiya Kumar and others who have been accused of raising anti-India slogans on JNU campus on February 9, 2016.

In January 2019, the Delhi Police Special Cell had submitted a 1200-page charge-sheet in the case. The JNU sedition case has seen no proceeding so far due to the Arvind Kejriwal government’s refusal to give nod for prosecution.

Shockingly, the Arvind Kejriwal government is of the view that the accused had ‘no intention’ of inciting violence and did not raise such slogans during the march. The Delhi government has found the evidence provided by Delhi Police ‘flimsy’ and ‘riddled with gaps’.

Earlier in the day, a Delhi court had asked the Delhi government to file a status report relating to the issue of pendency of sanction in the JNU sedition case to prosecute Kanhaiya Kumar and others.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Purushottam Pathak had also directed the Delhi Police to send a reminder to the city government seeking requisite sanctions to prosecute Kumar.

The court passed the directions after police submitted that permission to prosecute Kumar and others has not been granted yet and the letter requesting sanction is pending with the Delhi government.

Those who fired bullets to kill Ayodhya Karsevaks are now blaming Police for deaths of violent rioters: Yogi Adityanath supports UP Police, slams opposition

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has slammed the opposition parties and the supporters of anti-CAA violent protests in the state at his address to the state assembly during the budget session.

Asserting the deaths during the anti-CAA violence were due to bullets fired by violent and armed protestors themselves and not from police firing, the CM stated, “Upadravi, upadravi ki goli se marey hain” (rioters have died from the bullets fired by other rioters)

The UP CM further stated, “Jo Marne Ke Liye Ayega, Wo Zinda Kaise Bachega”? (Those who have come with death in their minds, how can they remain alive). The CM explained further that when a violent rioter comes to the road prepared to kill innocents and is challenged by a policeman, either the policeman or the rioter has to die.”

Praising the UP police for their exemplary action and preventing wide-scale violent riots across the state, Yogi stated that a big conspiracy was revealed behind the anti-CAA protests.

Slamming the oppositions condemning and blaming the government for the deaths of violent rioters, UP CM Yogi Adityanath stated, “Those who fired upon Karsevaks and murdered them, those who tried to defile the faith of people in Ayodhya, the same people are now questioning the police action on violent rioters”.

While defending his state police, Yogi stated that 15000 students in AMU wanted to set Aligarh on fire, the DIG and many policemen were injured. The students pelted stones and petrol bombs, and illegal weapons despite that police entered the campus only after the administration gave permission.

He asserted that despite extreme provocation, the police used only force when needed to maintain law and order. nobody was killed or injured. The police have done their best to create awareness and convey to people at all levels that the public has the right to protest, but no one can indulge in arson and violence.

It is notable here that UP police had to face large-scale violent riots by Muslim mobs across the state in the wake of the CAA. The state police had taken stern action against the damage of public properties and endangerment of public life. CM Yogi Adityanath had asserted that rioters, arsonists and violence mongers will be penalised for damaging public properties. The state administration had listed damages and had sent legal notices to rioters for recovery of the cost of damaged public properties.

‘Did your mother feed these b*tches while menstruating’: Devdutt Pattanaik suffers another meltdown on Twitter, hurls filth

‘Mythologist’ Devdutt Pattanaik has faced his yet another epic meltdown on Twitter, who resorted to hurling sexist and filthy abuses against Historian True Indology and his family.

On Wednesday, Devdutt Pattanaik took to Twitter to express his opinion on the ongoing debate regarding the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act in the country. Through his tweet, Pattanaik went on to mock Modi government, as he claimed that the proponents of ‘Hindutva’ were using the ‘kagaz’ or documents to terrorise poor and Muslim women in the country.

According to Pattanaik, ‘kagaz’ or use of paper was popularized by Muslim kings in the country.

“Hinduism chuckles at the irony,” said Pattanaik while assuming for himself that he was taking a dig at the Modi government over the issue of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Pattanaik in his tweet, not only went on to make false assertions on the Citizenship Amendment Act but also altered a history a bit to suit his narrative. As far as his claim on the government asking Muslim women to submit their ‘kagaz’ or documents is concerned, it is plain fear-mongering and false propaganda as no government authorities have asked any individual of the country to submit documents.

By claiming that proponents of Hindutva, which according to Pattanaik is the Modi government, has been pushing Muslims to show ‘kagaz’, the self-proclaimed Mythologist indulged in a blatant disinformation campaign.

A social media user was quick to counter Pattanaik on his claim of Muslim rulers popularising the ‘kagaz’ and presented his argument to reject Pattanaik’s claim. The user took a dig at Devdutt Pattanaik for his unverified claims, said, Rahul Gandhi was more intelligent than him.

Pattanaik, who himself has a habit of making incendiary comments against others, however, did not take the comments made by social media user lightly. Instead, he began to hurl filthy abuse at the user and dragged Historian True Indology to the conversation despite the fact that the historian had nothing do with the issue.

Abusing True Indology, shockingly Pattanaik suffered a severe meltdown and made vile sexist comments on the mother of the historian.

The disgusting comments made by Devdutt Pattanaik on True Indology did not go well on social media as netizens attacked the ‘Mythologist’ for his deranged behaviour.

Historian True Indology, who has received tonnes of abuses in the past not only by Devdutt Pattanaik but also by left-wing historians for exposing their false historical claims, took to Twitter to respond to mindless rant of Pattanaik.

Slamming Pattanaik for his sexist remarks, True Indology questioned Industrialist Anand Mahindra for employing habitual offender like Devdutt Pattanaik. The Twitter Historian asked what rights does Pattanaik has to talk about Hindu scriptures and religion.

Listing out all the vile hateful abuses made against him by Devdutt Pattanaik, True Indology tagged Anand Mahindra and asked whether the industrialist would condone the behaviour displayed by the ‘Mythologist’. “Don’t you have any shame? Does he also talk to your mother and wife like this,” asked True Indology.

Dalit victim of CPM violence says she faced caste-discrimination in Jignesh Mevani’s house: Read details

Chitralekha, a Dalit woman auto-driver who was tormented by CPM has not written an autobiography where she has made a startling revelation. Chitralekha has said that she faced caste discrimination at the house of Jignesh Mevani, who has been touting himself as a Dalit politician.

In her biography, titled KL 13 L 8527, Chithralekha says she faced gross discrimination at Mevani’s house when she visited Gujarat for taking part in a protest organised by Rashtriya Mevani’s Dalit Adhikar Manch (RDMM). In her book, according to local media, Chitralekha said she was not allowed to bathe in the house and suffered through caste-discrimination.

Chitralekha’s book reportedly contains many such incidents where she exposes the caste-discrimination that Jignesh Mevani meets out and his hypocrisy on caste-issues.

Read: Anti-CAA riots: Muslim mob led by Jignesh Mevani in Gujarat that attacked a police van carried ‘Jai Bheem’ flags

Chitralekha was hounded and tormented by the communists after she had married an upper-caste man. In a revenge attack, CPM workers set her auto-rickshaw on fire in 2005. Following the incident, she and her family came on the radar of the CPM leadership. As she did not succumb to the threats, the CPM socially ostracised her family; they were forced to flee their home village. She was physically attacked by CPM goons and her auto-rickshaw was destroyed several times.

After Chitralekha refused to cower to threats, the Communists had even put up posters terming her a ‘prostitute’.

Reportedly, Chitralekha had alleged that the time that the CPM leadership had told her that ‘The Pulaya women shouldn’t run an Auto Rickshaw’. Pulaya caste is one of the most downtrodden classes in Kerala’s Scheduled caste.

Interestingly, Jignesh Mevani, who has now been accused by Chitralekha of discriminating against her on the basis of caste, had spoken up for the plight of Chitralekha back in 2018.

In 2018, Jignesh Mevani, who was fashioning himself as a Dalit politician had backed out from an event organised by a CPM-backed organisation saying that he had reservations about their stand on Dalit issues.

The Pattika Jathi Kshema Samiti (PKS) was a Dalit organisation floated by CPM and its invite was declined by Mevani back then. He had also condemned the treatment meted out to Chitralekha and has asserted that he stood with her in her struggle.

Vadgam MLA and divisive ‘caste activist’ Jignesh Mevani have developed a penchant for rabble-rousing and instigating violence to meet his political ends. In early April this year, TimesNow had caught him on video instigating the crowd ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Karnataka rally ahead of Karnataka elections. In the video, Jignesh Mevani is heard saying that the youth should play an important role in disrupting the Prime Minister’s rally in Bangalore by throwing chairs and asking him as to what happened to the two crore jobs that he had promised.

Jignesh Mevani and controversy go hand in hand, caught frequently making such crass comments. Not too long ago, Jignesh Mevani on RepublicTV had asked the PM to “go to the Himalayas and melt his bones“. He was also caught on tape inciting people right before violence erupted in the Bhima-Koregaon incident. Not just the PM, Jignesh Mevani was also caught on tape abusing policemen after which, he had proceeded to play the victim.

15 crore Muslims can dominate over 100 crore Hindus, we will snatch away our ‘Azadi’: Waris Pathan in Karnataka

Controversial AIMIM leader and former Maharasthra MLA Waris Pathan was again seen inciting Muslims at an anti-CAA rally in Gulbarga, Karnataka, in the presence of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on February 16.

In a veiled threat to the Hindus, Pathan resorted to inciting Muslims by stating that time has come for the Muslims of the country to unite and ‘achieve freedom’. He added that even though Muslims are just 15 crores in the country, they can still dominate over 100 crore Hindus.

Speaking at an anti-CAA protest rally in Gulbarga of Karnataka, Pathan warned Hindus to be scared of Muslim and reminded of consequences if Muslims unite together.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcUp2L7YN0M?start=809]

“We need to work together, we need to snatch our Azadi. Time has now come to achieve Azadi, if we cannot achieve it, we should snatch it. They were mocking us for hiding behind women (during anti-CAA protests). Do not forget, these are lionesses who has come out yet and you are already afraid of these women. Be aware and know what happens if we all (Muslims) unite together,” said Waris Pathan in a hate-mongering speech.

Continuing his hate speech, Pathan warned the Hindus of the country, “We are 15 crores but be aware we can still dominate over 100 crore Hindus and imagine what we can do to you.”

It is not unsurprising to hear such blatant Hinduphobic hate speech from AIMIM leader Waris Pathan as his party and its leadership have all been issuing such venomous statements to incite Muslims of the country.

In another inflammatory speech, Akbarudding Owaisi, the brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had a delivered hate speech in 2013, where he had threatened Hindus with genocide. “We (Muslims) will finish 100 crores Hindus if you remove police across the country for just 15 minutes,” the younger Owaisi had said.

Ever since the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Act, AIMIM party and its leadership, especially Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has been indulging in fear-mongering about the new law along with the proposed NRC and NPR to continue fuelling misgivings about them amongst the Muslims.

Earlier this month, Owaisi had said that Shaheen Bagh may be turned into ‘Jallianwala Bagh’ after February 8, after Delhi elections are concluded. Likening protests against Citizenship Amendment Act to ‘jihad’, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had said that those who raise their voice against PM Modi and HM Amit Shah are real ‘mard-e-mujahid’.

Karnataka: Inspired by Basavanna’s teachings, Muslim man joins Lingayat Matha, to be anointed as head

In an exemplary display of religious tolerance from the Hindu community, Lingayat math in Gadag district of north Karnataka is set to make a Muslim youth its spiritual head, reports Times of India.

Reportedly, 33-year-old Diwan Sharief Rahimansab Mulla is all set to be anointed as the head, or Mathadheesha of the Murugharajendra Koraneshwara Shantidhama Matha in Asuti village on February 26. The Murugharajendra Matha is linked to the 350-year-old Koraneshwara Sansthan Matha in Khajuri village in Kalaburagi.

The new Mathadheesha Diwan Sharief said he was influenced by the teachings of 12th-century reformer Basavanna since childhood and would work towards his ideals of social justice and harmony.

The Matha is one of the 361 maths of Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra Matha of Chitradurga, which draw lakhs of followers from across Karnataka and Maharashtra, besides other parts of the country.

“Basava’s philosophies are universal and we embrace followers irrespective of caste and religion. He had dreamed of social justice and harmony in the 12th century and following his teachings, the Matha has opened its doors to all,” said Murugharajendra Koraneshwar Shivayogi, the Mathadheesha of the Khajuri Matha.

Influenced by Shivayogi’s discourses in Asuti, Sharief’s father, the late Rahimansab Mulla, had donated two acres of land to set up the Matha in the village. Shivayogi said the Asuti Matha has been functioning for 2-3 years now and construction of the premises was on.

The Mathadheesha of Khajuri Matha added that Sharief is dedicated to Basava’s philosophy and has been living by those tenets. His father was also a staunch follower and had obtained ‘Linga Deeksha’ from us, added the seer.

“Sharief took ‘Deeksha’ on November 10, 2019. We have trained him on the various facets of Lingayat religion and Basavanna’s teachings over the past three years,” added Murugharajendra Koraneshwar Shivayogi.

Sharief said he was drawn to Lord Basaveshwara’s teachings since childhood. “I used to run a flour mill in neighbouring Menasagi village and, in my free time, conducted discourses on the Vachanas written by Basavanna and other Sharanas of the 12th century,” he added.

Sharief said Murugharajendra Swamiji recognised his service and took him under his wings to train and teach further. He added that he will move on the same path propagated by Basavanna and his mentor.

Sharief is married and father to four children. The appointment of a family man as Mathadheesha is still uncommon in Lingayat Mathas. However, the Matha has said that Sharief is a devoted follower and can be made a Mathadheesha.

“Lingayat religion believes in sadgati (salvation) through sansar (family). A family man can become a swami and take up social and spiritual work. All devotees of the Matha have supported Sharief to be made Mathadheesha. It is an opportunity for us to uphold Basavanna’s idea of a ‘kalyana rajya’ (welfare state),” said Shivayogi.

Dyamanna Hadli, Sharanappa Karkikatti and Santosh Balutagi, the prominent members of the Matha, said they were proud of their village setting an example. They said that they have seen hate and violent struggles on grounds of caste and religion. “Our Koraneshwar Matha is charting an inspiring path by appointing a Muslim as the head of a Lingayat Matha,” said members of the Matha.

“Irrespective of caste and religion, all devotees of the village are followers of this Matha. We have unanimously backed Sharief,” said Balutagi.

AltNews co-founder displays her ignorance, maligns JV Sadhguru even though two out of his three claims about breastmilk are scientifically proven

Ever since Sadhguru JV conveyed his express support for PM Modi and his government’s formulated policies, he has been at the receiving end of unmitigated liberal scorn. Unsparing attacks that are mostly hit-jobs against him have become a regular feature. He is routinely targeted by the liberals to undermine his credibility and prove him to be a charlatan beguiling people.

Recently, Sadhguru came under attack from assorted liberals who tried to run him down for his opinion on the variation in the mother’s milk depending on the gender of the baby. In an event, Sadhguru can be heard saying that the quality of mother’s milk differs depending on whether the child is male or female. He also claimed that a mother produces different “types of milk” from each breast if she gives birth to opposite-sex twins.

The attack was unleashed against the spiritual guru after a Twitter page named ‘Indian Atheists’ shared the video in which Sadhguru talked about the gender-based change in mother’s milk.

Soon, the video went viral as many folks started sharing the clip. Alt-News cofounder Sam Jawed took a swipe at Sadhguru by saying that her intelligence got hurt after watching the video shared by Indian Atheists. Jawed essentially implied that Sadhguru’s assertions regarding dynamic changes in the mother’s breast milk are vacuous and holds no scientific grounds.

Another Twitter user named ‘Punster’ too derided Sadhguru for his views expressed in the video. “Sadhguru JV says, a mother’s breast produces different kinds of milk depending upon whether the baby is a boy or girl. If they’re twins (one boy, one girl) each breast produces a different kind of milk. Sadhguru JV has so much ‘Gyan’ that he thinks he’s a ‘gynaecologist,” he tweeted.

The video was also shared by the official Twitter handle of All India Mahila Congress, asking why spiritual godmen keep making utterly absurd points around biological processes concerning a female body.

In the video, Sadhguru has essentially made three claims. The first one is about the mother’s milk adjusting itself for the child. In his second claim, Sadhguru says that the type of mother’s breast milk is different for male and female children. The third claim is that in case twin children of opposite sexes, each breast of the mother produces different kinds of milk, one for male and the other for the female child.

However, the detractors have exhibited remarkable alacrity in ridiculing Sadhguru without checking the scientific validity of the individual claims made by him. Although the third claim made by Sadhguru is not sufficiently backed by evidence and also seems improbable, the other two claims are proven by science.

Scientific studies have demonstrated that the breast milk of mothers changes as per the needs of the baby. The breast milk undergoes a tremendous change after the baby is born, not only in composition and amount but also in colour and viscosity. The changes in the milk depend upon the mother’s intake, ailment, the timing of the day and the frequency of feeding. Studies show that the number of infection-fighting cells increase when the child is ill, even when the mother was healthy. According to researchers, the mother’s body gets information about the health of a child through their saliva during feeding, and based on that information the composition of the milk is changed.

Read- Why are comedy ideologues abusing Sadhguru and what is at stake for us all

The milk composition also changes with the passage of time, as the need of the child keeps changing as time progresses. The breastmilk undergo changes even during each feeding session, as the composition of milk during the beginning of feeding differ from milk during later stages. Therefore, the first claim of Sadhguru that breastmilk changes with the changing needs of children is true.

Similarly, tests on mothers’ milk in both monkeys and humans have showed that milk made for female and male babies is consistently different.

According to a study done by researchers at Michigan State University and other institutions found that milk composition changes depending on the infant’s gender and on whether conditions are good or bad. In an experiment done on 72 women in rural Kenya, mothers with son gave richer milk as compared to mothers with daughters. The findings, which is published in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology, conclusively proved that mother’s milk change based on the infant’s gender.

In another study done by Prof. Katie Hinde, an evolutionary biologist at Harvard University, the findings revealed that mothers among rhesus monkeys produced milk with 35 per cent more fat and protein for male babies, and even richer milk when the male was first-born. The study also showed that when the mother fed female babies, the milk produced had lesser contents of fats but a higher proportion of calcium, perhaps to aid the quicker growth of their skeletons. It also disclosed that the mothers produced more amount of milk overall for females and the females received the same amount of fats as males throughout their breastfeeding.

Hence the second claim of Sadhguru is also true, that the breastmilk composition changes on the basis of gender of the child.

There is no conclusive scientific study that substantiates Sadhguru’s claim that the mother’s breast milk in the case of twins can be different in different breasts depending on the needs of each twin. However, according to Satoshi Kanazawa, an evolutionary psychologist at the London School of Economics and Political Science and his colleague Nancy Segal at California State University, Fullerton, who studied milk produced for opposite sex (OS) twins, claimed that mothers of opposite-sex twins would be in a biological crisis, as they could not simultaneously produce milk attuned for a boy and a girl. Satoshi claimed that milk can be tailored only for either of the two sex. The research illustrated that the same-sex (SS) twins were taller and bigger than opposite sex breastfed twins.

Despite the above researches reasonably vindicating Sadhguru on his twp claims out of three regarding the changes in mother’s breast milk, liberals continued to mock him without examining the veracity of the claims made by him. Sadhguru’s pro-Hindu stands and his latest support for CAA were reasons enough to raise liberals’ hackles, prompting them to double-down their efforts in smearing his credibility and besmirching his reputation without bothering to ascertain the enduring scientific research in this domain.
