1500 Kgs of adulterated paneer and chemicals seized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat

In a raid, the Food and Drug Control Administration has seized 1500 kgs of adulterated paneer being manufactured inn Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The incident happened on 4 February when an FDCA special squad from Gandhinagar raided Dwarkesh Dairy Products in Ahmedabad.

The premises of Dwarkesh Dairy Products located at 3222, next to Adarsh School, Kubernagar, Ahmedabad was found to have been adulterating paneer, with stacks full of the product placed in the location, ready to be sold.

Raw materials and chemicals being used for the manufacturing of the fake paneer was also seized. The FDCA team seized adulterants, large quantities of palm oil and industrial grade acetic acid that was being used for the process. Stocks of paneer valued at over 3.5 lakhs were seized in the process.

Officials added that strict actions will be taken against individuals involved in food adulteration.
