American Airlines Plane Crash: Rescue operations continue following Passenger Jet-Helicopter collision

On Wednesday night (Local Time), an American Airlines Plane collided with a military helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The plane crashed into nearby Potomac River following the collision. There were 60 passengers and 4 crew members on board the plane.

The passenger jet left from Wichita, Kansas, and was about to land at Washington Airport when it collided with a Black Hawk Military Helicopter.

Following the deadly collision, search and rescue operations have been going on in full swing, and so far, 18 bodies have been recovered from the Potomac river. Though the possibility of finding any survivors is low, the rescue teams continue to look for any survivor.

Earlier, commenting on the incident, US President Donald Trump commented ,”This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!” He also questioned why didn’t the Helicopter move out of the way of the oncoming plane heading for a landing.
