A British Airways flight coming from London to Hyderabad received a bomb threat on Monday (22nd December). The airport authorities followed all standard safety steps after the aircraft landed. Officials shared this information on Tuesday, 23rd December.

According to sources, the customer support team of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport received an email warning about a bomb on British Airways flight BA 277, which was flying from Heathrow Airport in London to Hyderabad. After the plane landed safely, security agencies immediately began standard safety checks.
Officials said that as part of these procedures, the aircraft was kept away from other planes, passengers and their baggage were carefully checked, fire engines were kept ready, and sniffer dogs were used to inspect the area. After the checks were completed, the flight was cleared and later departed back to Heathrow.
Earlier this month, the airport received two similar threat emails for Indigo flights arriving in Hyderabad from Madina and Sharjah. In one of those cases, the Madina Hyderabad flight was diverted to Ahmedabad Airport as a precaution.
