Champions Trophy: Bumrah, Shami, Hardik set to return to the ODI team, uncapped Jaiswal included

On Saturday, January 18, India announced its 15 men squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Notably, premier speedster Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya are set to make their return to the One Day Internationals squad having last played in the ODI World Cup final in November 2023 in the format.

Promising young opener Yashavi Jaiswal, who has become a regular in the Test side but is yet to debut in the ODI format has also been included in the side.

The team will be led by the veteran Rohit Sharma with Shubman Gill serving as his deputy. India are placed in Group A of the Champions Trophy alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
