A tense situation unfolded inside a gym in the Clementtown area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, after a Hindu woman accused a Muslim gym trainer of molestation. The incident triggered chaos inside the gym and led to the arrival of BajrangDal activists at the spot.
The incident took place at a gym named Fit and Fine. According to the reports, the woman reached the gym along with several people and accused trainer Nadeem Ansari of inappropriate behaviour.
As soon as the news of the accusation spread in the area, Bajrang Dal activists gathered outside the gym in large numbers. Eyewitnesses said the activists confronted and thrashed the trainer inside the gym, triggering a fierce commotion and panic among gym members and staff.
Some people familiar with the situation claimed that the matter initially began as a dispute between the woman and the trainer, which later took on a communal angle. The atmosphere inside the gym remained tense until police intervention.
Police from the Clementtown Police Station reached to the spot after receiving information about the disturbance and brought the situation under control. Based on the woman’s complaint, a case has been registered against Nadeem Ansari under sections related to molestation.
Police officials are now examining CCTV footage from the gym to determine the exact sequence of events and to verify both the molestation complaint and the assault that followed.
