EAM Jaishankar to represent India at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20

External Affairs Minister of India Dr S Jaishankar will represent India at the US President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20 in Washington DC.

The Ministry of External Affairs announced this on Sunday, January 12, while adding that EAM Jaishankar will also hold meetings with representatives of the incoming Trump administration.

“On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Donald J.Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America,” MEA Posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Donald Trump is set to be sworn in as US President for the second time after defeating current Vice President Kamala Harris in November 2024 elections.
