On Wednesday (10th December), the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) intercepted a Pakistani fishing boat with 11 crew members inside the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
The detained crew has been handed over to the Jakhau Marine Police in Gujarat for questioning.
Taking to X on 11th December, the Indian Coast Guard said, “In a swift operation on 10 Dec 25, @IndiaCoastGuard apprehended a #Pakistani fishing boat with 11 crew inside the #Indian #EEZ. This interdiction underscores #BhartiyaTatrakshak’s sustained maritime operations and India’s commitment to securing its maritime frontiers while maintaining robust enforcement of international maritime laws within the MZI.

“Continuous vigilance across India’s maritime domain remains a cornerstone of our national maritime security strategy,” the ICG added.
