Sam Pitroda, the Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress and a close aide of Rahul Gandhi stirred the hornet’s nest by extending support to illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in India.
In a video that has surfaced on social media, Sam Pitroda was heard saying, “We are not thinking about our planet. We are not concerned about global warming…Because we are busy hounding immigrants who are poor and hungry.”
“They do so much work to come here…Of course illegally. I understand it is not right but we are busy targeting illegal Bangladeshis and minorities,” he claimed.
The Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress continued, “We are doing this as opposed to saying we will include everybody (including illegal Bangladeshis). If we have to suffer a little bit, it’s okay.”
“We will suffer a little bit. Nobody wants to share (their resources with illegal Bangladeshis). Everyone wants a bigger share of the pie,” he brazened out.
Sam Pitroda is not new to controversies. In June last year, he made racist remarks about Indians residing in different regions of the country. He had also proposed an ‘inheritance tax’ as part of Congress’ nefarious ‘wealth re-distribution’ scheme.
