Firoz Ali was molesting female students for several days at around 7 a.m., forcing many to stop going to school altogether.
There was initial laxity on the part of the police. It was only after Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren took cognisance of the matter that the police swung into action.
The police had also vowed to take action against those who protected or gave shelter to Firoz Ali.
