The historic Maha Kumbh is currently underway in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. During this once in 144 years Hindu event, Shri Panchayati Akhada Niranjani took a major step to support Sanatanis in the country of Myanmar by anointing a saint and giving him the title of Mahamandaleshwar.
President of All India Akhada Parishad, Mahant Ravindra Puri said that to support Sanatan Dharma in other countries, saints and mahants living abroad are also being made Mahamandaleshwar of the Akhada. As part of the same effort, Indian origin saint Swami Vivekanand Giri, who came from Myanmar, was anointed in Shri Panchayati Akhada Niranjani and given the title of Mahamandaleshwar.
On Tuesday night, the Pattabhishek was held in the presence of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Maharaj and Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri, along with hundreds of devotees including saints and mahants associated with the Akhada.
After Pattabhishek, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vivekanand Giri said that he has been made the first Mahamandaleshwar of Myanmar. He will support Sanatan while fulfilling the responsibility of the Akhada. He also said that he will make more than 10 lakh Indians living in Myanmar aware about Sanatan Dharma.
