Dame Andrea Jenkyns, a former Conservative Party MP has informed that her late mother Valerie was forced to undertake ‘diversity training’ for liking social media posts against illegal immigration and grooming gangs.
Her only mistake was that she liked posts 5-6 years earlier about grooming gangs and deporting illegal immigrants. The party had reportedly stripped Valerie of her membership in the Conservative Party in early 2020.
It assured to restore the membership under the condition that she undertook a 10-module course. According to Dame Andrea, the course had questions about multiple sexualities and genders.

She informed, “I did the course for her because it was a matter of principle for me to get her back into the party with her daughter being an MP…To make a woman in her late 70s do a course like that, it’s a joke.”
Dame Andrea further added, “he was upset because her daughter was a Conservative MP and she couldn’t even be in my association to vote for me.”
It took her 18 months to help reinstate Valerie’s membership, who passed away in December 2022. Dame Andrea left the Conservative Party last year and joined the Reform UK party.
