A shocking incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Tushar Mehta on Saturday (25th January). He narrated how his Apple watch was almost stolen during a security check at terminal 3 of the Delhi Airport.
As per his post, Dr Mehta put his belongings including his Apple watch in a tray while going through the security check at the Delhi Airport. However, when he crossed the security check, he noticed that his Apple watch was missing from the tray.
He claimed the CISF personnel there asked him to check his bags. Meanwhile, he noticed a man, named Mohammad Saqib, suspiciously looking at him while walking away.
Posting of such unsubstantiated messages creates unnecessary apprehension in the minds of passengers, hence avoidable. (2/2)

The doctor followed Saqib as he headed to a Helios store there. Confronting Saqib, the doctor checked his pockets and found his Apple watch.
Before the doctor could do anything, a salesperson named Shoaib from the Helios store started arguing with him allowing Saqib to escape which made the doctor infer that they were both complicit in the act.
A CISF personnel later accompanied Shoaib, questioned Mehta and went away after the latter made him talk to a senior officer. It later turned out to be a fake story. Dr Tushar Mehta has deleted his X account.
