In a bizarre crime, a thief was arrested for breaking into ‘Kanakadurga Wines’ in Medak region of Telangana for a robbery. After stealing cash and several bottles of alcohol, the thief couldn’t resist the temptation to drink. After consuming a lot of alcohol available in the shop, the thief passed out drunk.
The incident took place on Sunday night, and reportedly, the thief stayed passed out till Monday night. He apparently entered the wine shop by removing roof tiles and disabling the CCTV cameras.
The passed out thief was discovered by the shop’s staff on Monday morning when they reopened the shop for business.
“We closed the shop at 10 pm on Sunday, and when we reopened at 10 am the next day, we saw him unconscious. He had entered by removing roof tiles and taken money from the cash box. He was then shifted to the hospital. Police are still investigating whether he had any accomplices,” the shop in-charge Narsing told NDTV.
