UAE air defence counters multiple Iranian threats
Just a day before this incident, the UAE Ministry of Defence said in a statement that its air defence systems had intercepted multiple aerial threats originating from Iran. According to the ministry, the latest wave of attacks included 25 unmanned aerial vehicles and four ballistic missiles, all of which were successfully neutralised.

The development comes amid ongoing escalation in West Asia, with the UAE reinforcing its defensive posture against repeated aerial threats.
Over 2,000 aerial threats intercepted since escalation began
The Ministry of Defence also released cumulative figures since the onset of what it described as “blatant Iranian aggression.” It stated that UAE forces have intercepted a total of 1,773 UAVs, 15 cruise missiles, and 345 ballistic missiles since the beginning of the escalation.
So far, six Indians have lost their lives in the conflict.
