The arrested man has been identified as Farhan Nabi Qaddiqi, co-director of M/S Istanbul International Pvt Ltd. He was taken into custody from the Kasna area of Greater Noida. According to the ATS, Qaddiqi and his associates were also running multiple organisations, including Hakikat Wakfi Foundation and Real Global Express Logistic Pvt Ltd.
These entities were being used to publish and circulate books in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, and Bengali languages that were intended to create social division.
Officials found that funds were being sent to his company from abroad through hawala and other illegal channels. Investigators believe that around Rs 11 crore was moved through these means and was used to buy land for setting up madrasas and mosques in different areas. The ATS also discovered that Qaddiqi had given shelter to several Bangladeshi nationals living in India without valid documents.
The operation came after weeks of surveillance and information-sharing between different agencies. Qaddiqi’s activities were found to be part of a larger network working through publishing houses and online groups. The ATS has registered an FIR at its Lucknow office under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway to track others involved in this network.
