Uttar Pradesh: Naushad and Faisal stab Hindu youth to death in Kushinagar, locals block road in protest

On Wednesday (31st December), a 24-year-old Hindu youth named Nishant Singh was stabbed to death while he was travelling on a bike with his friends. The incident occurred in Kushinagar town of Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the attackers were identified as Naushad and Faisal. Nishant was stopped by the duo and stabbed in the neck and stomach.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. As per eyewitnesses, Naushad and Faisal initially assaulted the friend of the victim, Kundan.

When Nishant intervened, one of the accused took out a knife and stabbed him multiple times. Thereafter, they fled the crime scene.

Reportedly, the victim was going to the nearby Kasiya village to purchase fertilisers for his farm. Nishant Singh was the only child of his parents. His father is a farmer by occupation.

The victim had been preparing for Army and other competitive exams and also helped his father with farming in the spare time. The gruesome killing of Nishant Singh has left his family devastated.

After the news of the incident spread in nearby areas, angry locals blocked the Naika-Chhapra road in protest. A large contingent of police was deployed to prevent any untoward incident.

In the meantime, the victim’s body has been sent for autopsy and a probe has been initiated into the matter.
