In Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Mohammed Irshad has been arrested for allegedly killing an 8-year-old girl after a failed rape attempt. Reportedly, Irshad was a neighbour of the girl.

She had been missing for 24 hours when her body was found yesterday, naked and stuffed inside a sack on the school premises.

The girl had been missing for 24 hours and after that her body was found, semi-naked and stuffed inside a sack near a school premises.
Mohammad Irshad, who was earlier accused of killing a dog during a failed rape attempt in Varanasi, has been arrested in the rape case. Police identified him through CCTV footage and arrested him. He was apparently also shot in his leg while trying to evade capture.
The incident reportedly took place in Varanasi’s Sujabad area. The body of the girl was found near the boundary wall of Bahadurpur Primary School
