In the meantime, the ‘suspended’ Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir has made it clear that the plans for laying the foundation stone of the disputed structure was underway.
This was despite the fact that the Calcutta High Court directed the West Bengal government to maintain law and order in Murshidabad.
While speaking to the media, Kabir declared that he has the support of Mamata’s police.
He stated, “I will lay the foundation stone of Babri Masjid today. Police are supporting me. I have already spoken with them. Following the Calcutta High Court order yesterday, the police are supporting me. They have provided me security…”
