Failed cricketer Yograj Singh has stirred the hornet’s nest by claiming that he was a better batsman than his son Yuvraj Singh.
“I was a much better batsman than Yuvraj. Yuvraj Singh, if he has worked even 10 percent like his father, he would have become a great cricketer,” he said during a recent podcast with Samdish.
This is despite the fact that he has a batting average of 0.50 in One Day Internationals (ODIs). On the contrary, Yuvraj Singh had a batting average of 36.6 in the same format.
Yuvraj Singh was instrumental in India’s World Cup victories in 2007 and 2011. Yograj Singh has no such claim to fame and is often in the news for attacking the likes of MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.
