In the passport case, Abdullah was found guilty under IPC sections 420, 467, 468 and 471. He has also been fined Rs 50,000. Rampur Prosecution Director Rohtas Kumar Pandey has stated that a total of 5 prosecution witnesses and 19 defence witnesses deposed before the court during the hearing of the passport case.
SP leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam have been sentenced to 7 years in jail for forging a PAN card. The fake card, with a changed birthdate, was used to make Abdullah eligible for the 2017 election. Azam Khan is now back in custody.
The matter pertains to Dungarpur Basti, and the complainant Abrar had lodged a case of forcible entry into his house in 2019. He also said there was loot, issue of life threats, and demolition of his house using bulldozer.
According to the rules, the District Cooperative Bank can neither consider these accounts operated by all three institutions as savings accounts nor can it pay interest to them.
