Ironically, George Pell was one of the inner circle of nine cardinals chose by Pope Francis to deal with issues such as sexual abuse of children by the clergy, fixing account books and financial reforms. The Pope had declined to remove Cardinal Pell after pressure mounted over the way in which the Church was handling such issues.
The accused Christian priest Father Prakash Damor had first met the minor victim at a missionary school where she was studying in Class 11 and had been allegedly pressurising her to marry him.
The three nuns who have been transferred are reportedly very critical of the victim and supporting nuns and were also part of a team which visited Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Delhi pleading innocence of Franco.
