The prosecution meticulously documented the scene of the bomb blasts in the presence of independent witnesses. Seized items included critical material objects such as damaged cycle parts, detonator wires, blood-stained earth, and metallic fragments.

In the bomb blasts, 18 people lost their lives, and 131 people sustained injuries. The NIA court delivered its final judgment in December 2016.

While passing the order, the Additional Sessions Judge, Dr Hardeep Kaur, directed the concerned Jail Superintendent to allow Yasin Bhatkal to interact with his ailing mother through video conferencing, but only as a one-time allowance.

Mohammad Danish Ansari was recruited and indoctrinated by Bhatkal with the assistance of Tahseen Akhtar and Kafeel Akhtar.
