Indian batting sensation Rinku Singh, known for his last-over finishes, has reportedly gotten engaged to Priya Saroj, a Lok Sabha MP from the Samajwadi Party. According to a news portal, the engagement took place recently.
Rinku, a mainstay of India’s T20I fixture and known for his explosive batting for IPL franchisee Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), was also a part of the squad led by Rohit Sharma that won the World Cup last year. He is set to return to action in the upcoming five-match T20I series against England starting next week.
The 27-year-old has played two ODIs and 30 T20Is since making his international debut in August 2023, accumulating a total of 562 runs across formats.
Meanwhile, Priya is a first-time Member of Parliament representing the Macchlishahr constituency in Uttar Pradesh. She defeated BJP’s BP Saroj by more than 35,000 votes in last year’s election.
