Uttar Pradesh: Headless and naked body of a woman found in a drain in Noida, hands also missing

In a horrifying incident, the headless body of a woman was found floating in a drain near Sector 83 of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday afternoon (6th November). Apart from the missing head, the hands of the body were also chopped off at the wrists, and was found without her clothes.

As per reports, some passersby spotted the body floating in the drain, along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and informed the police at Sector 39 police station. The police retrieved the body and sent for a postmortem. The woman is suspected to have been murdered within the last 24-48 hours, as estimated by the police.

Since the body was naked, the police could not find any clothes or documents to ascertain the identity of the body. “We have extensively checked the nearby area, but nothing associated with the body has been found,” said Jitendra Kumar Singh, station house officer of Sector 39.

Additional DCP Noida, Sumit Shukla, said that three teams of police have been formed to establish the identity of the woman. Police are examining the CCTV footage of nearby areas to find if someone dumped the body in the drain.
