ISIS terrorist Juhad Hameed gets VIP treatment inside jail premises in Congress-ruled Karnataka, video goes viral

Serious allegations of security lapses and VIP treatment have surfaced at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Jail of Karnataka after videos showed some of the city’s most dangerous inmates using mobile phones and enjoying special privileges inside the high-security facility.

In one of the videos, ISIS terrorist Juhad Hameed Shakeel Manna can be seen using a mobile phone to stay in touch with his associates outside the prison. Another video shows serial rapist and murderer Umesh Reddy sitting comfortably and watching television inside his cell. Both men are serving sentences in one of Karnataka’s most heavily guarded jails.

The videos, which recently appeared on social media, have sparked major questions about prison management and security. Following the outrage, prison authorities said on Saturday (8th November) that an internal investigation has been launched to verify the authenticity of the clips and identify those responsible. “Strict action will be taken based on the findings,” an official told PTI.

This isn’t the first time Parappana Agrahara Jail has faced criticism for similar incidents. Just last month, a video went viral showing a rowdy-sheeter named Srinivas, popularly known as Gubbachi Seena, celebrating his birthday inside the prison. He was seen cutting a cake and wearing an apple garland while surrounded by other inmates, all captured on a mobile phone.

Last year too, photos of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently jailed in the Renukaswamy murder case, stirred controversy after he was seen sitting comfortably inside the prison, holding a cigarette and coffee mug while chatting with fellow inmates.
