Security forces demolish house of Red Fort blast terrorist Umar un Nabi in Pulwama

In the aftermath of the Red Fort car blast, security forces on Friday (14th November) demolished the house of bomber Dr Umar un Nabi in Pulwama, Kashmir. The house was demolished in a controlled explosion with an improvised explosive device (IED) during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

Nabi was driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort in the national capital on 10th November, leaving 13 people dead and over two dozen injured. His badly damaged body was found in the car. Investigators conducted a DNA test of the body with Nabi’s mother, which came out positive, confirming his identity.

The car blast happened hours after authorities busted an inter-state terror module linked to Pakistani terror outfits Jaish-e-Muhammad. Eight terror suspects were arrested by the authorities in connection with the terror module, which was planning multiple explosions in different locations, using around 2900 kg of explosive. Nabi was also connected with the terror module.
