The Pathankot Police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Samba, Jammu, for allegedly sharing sensitive videos and information with Pakistan’s ISI via social media for over a year.
The boy was reportedly groomed online after his father’s death, exploiting his emotional and financial vulnerability. The boy, lured with promises and manipulation, transmitted classified visuals and details without realising the gravity of his acts. A press conference by the Pathankot SSP Daljinder Singh Dhillon confirmed the year-long operation.
#BREAKING: Pakistan ISI’s new game of using underage children in India for espionage. The police investigation has hinted at a growing possibility of children being targeted and groomed by social media platforms to act as ISI spies, sharing information about critical military assets and movements with the enemy.
Post Operation-Sindoor, several persons were arrested for their involvement in the ISI spy network, some of them even popular social media influencers like Jyoti Malhotra.
The police have stated that the online groomers had cloned the child’s phone and were constantly keeping track of him.
Pathankot’s strategic importance amplifies the threat. Located near the border, it hosts a key Indian Air Force base and was the site of the 2016 Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist attack that killed several security personnel and exposed infiltration risks. Espionage here directly endangers military installations, border defences, and national security, making it a prime ISI target.
