Akhilesh Yadav’s stepbrother Prateek hints at separation from BJP leader wife Aparna Yadav, calls her ‘family destroyer’

Prateek Yadav, the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav and the stepbrother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has hinted at separation and differences with his wife Aparna Yadav, who is a BJP leader and is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Commission of Women.

In an Instagram post, Prateek called Aparna Yadav a ‘family destroyer’. “I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible. She ruined my family ties. All she wants is to be famous and influential. Right now I am in a very bad mental condition ad she does not bother. All she bothers about is herself. I have never seen such a bad soul. I was unfortunate to get married to her”, the post reads.

As per media reports, some sources close to Aparna’s family have stated that it is unlikely that Prateek would ever write such things against Aparna and his account must have been hacked. The post was still there on Prateek’s official handle at the time of writing this report.

Aparna Yadav had joined the BJP in 2022. Prateek Yadav is the son of former Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and his second wife, Sadhna Gupta. Prateek and Aparna used to live separately from Akhilesh and their family after their wedding. The couple got married in 2012 and has a daughter. Prateek owns fitness and real estate businesses and is famous for driving his swanky Lamborghini around Lucknow. Aparna had contested and lost the Lucknow Cantt seat in the 2017 assembly elections on an SP ticket.
