Cow tied to a peg, stolen and slaughtered in the forest, hide found near Mafia Atiq’s dream project: Noorain, Shamsher, Sameer, Nazre booked in Prayagraj

Panic and tension have gripped Lakhnapur village under the Airport police station area in Prayagraj following an alleged case of cow slaughter. A cow belonging to a cattle rearer, which was tied outside his house, was reportedly stolen under the cover of darkness, and its remains were found in a nearby forest the next morning.

Following the incident, the entire area has been on edge. Acting on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against Noorain, Shamsher alias Tractor, Sameer, and Nazre, and have begun an investigation.

Remains found near ‘Alina City’, smugglers flee

The cattle rearer said that when he discovered his cow missing in the morning, he searched the surrounding areas. During the search, he reached a forest near the much-talked-about ‘Alina City’ project, linked to mafia Atiq Ahmed.

The sight there left him shaken. The rope from the cow’s neck, its hide, and other remains were found scattered at the spot. It is alleged that the cattle smugglers fled with the meat before anyone could catch them.

Allegations of police collusion, heavy security deployed

Angry villagers and cattle rearers have raised serious questions about the police, alleging that beef smuggling in the City West areas is flourishing with the connivance of local authorities.

In view of the tension, a heavy police force has been deployed in the area. The Airport police station said that a search for the accused is underway and assured that the strictest legal action will be taken against those found guilty. The administration has appealed to residents to maintain peace.
