On Saturday (14th March), BJP leader Arjun Singh took to X (formerly Twitter) to inform that several party supporters were attacked while they were en route to the ‘Poriborton Yatra’.
In a tweet, he stated, “This afternoon, Buses carrying the BJP supporters for Brigade Parade Rally, the culmination of #PoribortonYatra, were under attack near Girish Park Crossing in the heart of Kolkata. Several BJP supporters are injured.”
Arjun Singh pointed out that the site of the attack is close to the residence of prominent Trinamool Congress leader Shashi Panja.
The @ECISVEEP can easily expect what they have to face in conducting free and fair election in West Bengal.

He also hit out at the Kolkata police for not taking action against the attackers.
“While the buses were attacked by the TMC goons, Kolkata Police looked the other way, several policemen were seen taking shelter at nearby places for their own safety. The Kolkata Police Commissioner must act against the culprits,” Arjun Singh tweeted.
