A disturbing incident of Love Jihad has recently come to light in the Rohtas district of Bihar. A Muslim man named Ali Asgar Ansari pretended to be a Hindu to trap a Hindu woman. He sexually exploited the victim and forced her to convert to Islam.
As per reports, the victim met Ai Asgar Ansari in 2022 when she went to his shop in Dehri to purchase an inverter battery. Ansari introduced himself to the victim as a Hindu named ‘Paddu Sardar’. He was wearing a tilak and a Kalawa to mislead the victim. He took her mobile phone number and address to deliver the inverter battery to her house. He called her on multiple occasions, under the pretext of the installation or checking of the inverter.
Later on, he started frequenting the woman’s house, wearing the Hindu religious symbols of Tilak and Kalawa. He also took the mobile number of the woman’s husband. Gradually, he developed good terms with her husband and kids and won their trust.
One day, he took the woman, who was sick, to Banaras in the name of getting her medical treatment. The woman said that after reaching Banaras, Ansari gave her a juice laced with sedatives. She consumed the drink unsuspectingly. She said that she fell unconscious after consuming the drink, and that’s when Ansari sexually assaulted her and secretly recorded her obscene video. She did not remember anything related to the incident, and later came to know about the sexual exploitation when Ansari showed her the obscene video.
Recounting her ordeal, the victim said that one day, Ansari came to her house and told her that he loved her. He tried to influence her by telling her his sob story about how his relations with his wife are strained. When the victim refused his proposal, he showed her the obscene video and threatened to kill her entire family and sell her daughter. Even at that time, the victim was not aware of the Muslim identity of the accused. She came to know about his identity later when he bought a car, in which her husband also contributed some amount of money. She saw his ID cards and found that his real name was Ali Asgar Ansari.
Ansari blackmailed the victim using her video and sexually exploited her on multiple occasions. He forcefully clicked several pictures with her and recorded more obscene videos. Ansari then forced the victim to accept Islam and perform Nikah with him. He even took her to his house and tried to force-feed her beef with the help of his brother. He then poisoned her, after which she fell unconscious. She was then taken to a hospital for treatment. Even then, Ansari did not let her go and kept harassing her. The victim finally mustered the courage to file a police complaint against Ansari in 2023.
The victim has accused the police administration of inaction. She said that the local police have been avoiding taking action against Ansari. She alleged that she even approached top police officials, but no action was taken on her complaint. She said that Ansari has no fear of the law and that he barged into her house in 2026, after the filing of the FIR against him, and raped her. The victim demands justice and strong punishment for Ansari.
