Terrorist mows down pedestrians in the UK’s Derbyshire leaving several critically injured, arrested

In a horrible incident, a car mowed down several pedestrians in Derby city centre, United Kingdom, on Saturday (28th March), injuring several people. As per reports, the incident, which happened in Friar Gate at about 9.30 pm (local time), involved a black Suzuki Swift.

The Derbyshire police seized a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident and arrested its driver, who is in his thirties. The man has been sent to police custody. The injured were treated at the scene by ambulance crews before being taken to the hospital. In a statement released after the incident, the Derbyshire police have requested people to inform in case anyone saw a black Suzuki Swift being driven around in the area around the time of the incident.

“Our investigation is in its early stages, but we want to hear from anyone who saw a black Suzuki Swift being driven in Derby around the time of the incident,” read the police statement. “Although we know this will be alarming, we would like to reassure people that we do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public. No further information is available at this stage, but we will post an update as soon as we have one,” it added.
