The United States Department of the Treasury has lifted sanctions on four Indian companies by removing them from its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List in its latest sanctions update. The companies are Hyderabad-based RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited, Ahmedabad-based Galaxy Bearings Limited, and Delhi-based Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited.
The first three companies are precision manufacturing companies, while Shaurya is in aviation services.
The decision comes nearly two years after these firms were placed under US sanctions. In 2024, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on 21 Indian entities, including 19 companies and two individuals, under Executive Order 14024.

The order targets individuals and businesses accused of providing financial, technological, material or other forms of support to the Russian government. The sanctions were part of Washington’s wider effort to stop countries and companies from helping Russia bypass restrictions imposed after its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
India had engaged with the US
After the sanctions were announced in 2024, the Indian government held discussions with the United States over the issue. At the time, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “India is a responsible member of the international community,” and pointed out that the country actively participates in major multilateral export control regimes.
The ministry had also said that India regularly conducts awareness programmes to ensure that Indian companies follow export-control rules and comply with domestic laws.
The latest delisting was announced as part of a wider update to the SDN List. Along with removing these four Indian firms, OFAC also added several individuals and organisations allegedly linked to drug trafficking networks in Mexico.
In a statement, OFAC said it had also released its quarterly report on licensing activities under the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act (TSRA) for the period between January and March 2026.
Two companies are listed on the Indian stock exchanges
Among the four companies removed from the sanctions list, Galaxy Bearings Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited are publicly listed firms.
Lokesh Machines supplies equipment to several global manufacturers, including US companies John Deere and Cummins, Sweden’s Volvo, and Japanese automobile makers Honda and Suzuki.
Another company, RRG Engineering Technologies, is linked to India’s aviation sector. Its Chairperson and Managing Director, GM Ganga Rao, had served as an industry expert on the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s 2018 task force set up to accelerate unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology in India.
