An Air India employee, identified as Veeravel and using the Instagram handle grand__master, has triggered widespread outrage after commenting abusive remarks about Lord Sri Rama on social media. The comments have deeply offended many Hindus, who say he insulted their faith and hurt religious sentiments.
Veeravel also targeted social media accounts that regularly share Hindu religious content, using abusive language against them. Many users have described the posts as offensive and said such remarks have the potential to create communal tension.

Among those targeted was Vedic speaker Dushyanth Sridhar. In one of the comments, Veeravel wrote, “How you feel if I told you your Rama is evil Jewish came from Israel, and got killed by our Tamil king Ravana, that’s the truth, but u guys change the story.” The statement has drawn sharp criticism from devotees and social media users, who called it an insult to Lord Rama and Hindu beliefs.
In another comment, Veeravel compared himself with Dushyanth Sridhar and claimed that Air India has employees with “good standards” like him but “not like Dushyanth,” whom he referred to as “uncultivated people.”

The screenshots of the posts have been widely shared across social media platforms, leading to strong reactions from users. Many have urged Air India to take note of the employee’s conduct and take appropriate action, arguing that public statements mocking a revered religious figure and using abusive language are unacceptable and offensive to millions of Hindus.
