Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its key enablers are channelling illegal funds from foreign non-profits and hostile external networks to fuel unrest in India.
On 3 November, while addressing the media, Singh said that the CJP was part of a larger conspiracy involving “foreign-funded NGOs, deep state operatives and anti-India forces” working to manufacture a narrative against the government.
Singh said, “There is enough evidence to show that they are being funded by unauthorised sources, by anti-India NGOs, and anti-India organisations within and outside the country. The foreign-funded NGOs, deep state operatives and anti-India forces are manufacturing this narrative. Abhijeet Dipke has been receiving funds from US-based donors, Ashutosh Ranka, paid by Pakistani politicians.”

While talking to NDTV, BJP spokesperson Tuhin A Sinha said that the CJP’s recent protests were engineered to trigger chaos in the national capital during the festive season.
He said, “Over the last one month, the CJP’s tactics were all about manufacturing rebellion. It was all about manufacturing anarchy in the country’s capital during the festive season. Obviously, there were mala fide motives. There was mala fide intent in it.”
Previously, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the chief of the banned pro-Khalistan outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has reportedly announced $1 million in financial support for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest movement in India, describing the backing as part of a “fifth-generation warfare” campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
Delhi police Crime Branch summoned CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka for questioning on Thursday, 5 November, for violating the prohibitory orders, unauthorised entry into Jantar Mantar, and trespassing.
The summons followed a series of defiant street protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Das and Ranka had been detained earlier in October and released only after signing a peace bond of ₹50,000 each, which they breached within 72 hours by scaling locked gates at Jantar Mantar.
