The High Court expressed dismay over the failure of the prosecution in establishing the identities of the accused, who carried out the barbaric attack.
In its verdict, the special TADA judge held that a conspiracy was hatched by the conspirators against the Hindu community to avenge the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
In her plea, Karat alleged that in speeches made by the two politicians, they threatened to use force to remove protestors, who were holding protests at Shaheen Bagh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
"Mohamed Shariq had conspired with co-accused Syed Yasin and a foreign-based IS online handler to promote IS terror activities in India with the aim to terrorise the society through IED attacks. He was also involved in fundraising activities for IS," the NIA said.
