The Ghaziabad police on Monday, December 30, interrogated Mohammad Zubair, the co-founder of AltNews. As per reports, Zubair had arrived before Ghaziabad police to record his statement. He was interrogated for over 4 hours in the case filed by Yati Narasinghanand Saraswati Trust’s general secretary Udita Tyagi.

Kavinagar ACP Abhishek Shrivastava informed the media that Zubair was interrogated in the case where he is accused of triggering communal hatred and posting a edited video of Yati Narasinghanand. Following Zubair’s post, a large mob of Muslims had attacked the Dasna ashram on October 3.
On 20 December 2024, the Allahabad High Court stayed the arrest of Mohammad Zubair and had refrained him from leaving the country.
