UP storm horror: Man lifted 40 feet into sky along with tin shed in Bareilly, suffers fractures

A terrifying incident from Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh has come to light after a man was lifted into the air along with a tin shed during a powerful storm on Wednesday, 13th May. The man, identified as Nanhe Miyan, suffered fractures in his hands and legs after falling to the ground and was later admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Tin shed blown away during storm

The incident took place in the Bamiyana village under the Bhamora police station. When strong winds and heavy rain hit the area, Nanhe Miyan was standing near a tin shed and holding onto a rope, hoping it would keep him safe during the storm. However, the force of the wind snapped the rope and sent both the shed and the man flying through the air.

Recalling the frightening moment, Nanhe said he was thrown nearly 30 to 40 feet high and landed far away from the spot. “I don’t know where I fell. I was at least 50 feet away,” he said.

Officials assure help as storms batter UP

An official present at the hospital met Nanhe Miyan and assured him that all necessary help would be provided. The shocking visuals of the incident have also gone viral on social media.

The Bareilly incident took place as severe weather caused large-scale destruction across Uttar Pradesh. According to officials, thunderstorms and rain on Wednesday killed at least 89 people, injured 53 others, damaged 87 houses, and also led to the death of 114 animals.
