Reality show Big Boss Malayalam Season 8 recently took a dramatic turn when the parents of a contestant asked her to leave the show. Contestant Neha Fathima had an unexpected encounter with her parents, who came on stage to meet her before family week.
Neha was pleasantly surprised after the show’s host actor Mohanlal, told her that her parents had come to meet her before the usual ‘Family Week’ when contestants get to meet their family members. However, her happiness on seeing her parents soon turned sour after they asked her to leave the show. In an emotional appeal, Neha Fathima’s parents asked her to quit the show and come out.
In the promo teaser released for the weekend episode, Neha’s mother is seen having a tearful conversation with her. “Neha, do you remember us? We don’t think you do,” Neha’s father asked her.
He parents claimed that she had lost direction and that everyone else on the show was playing the game while she was getting emotionally involved. They further claimed that she was being emotionally used in the show. “Everyone in the house is playing games, but you’re just hanging on to your emotions. You’re being used by others for their own purposes. You’re playing the same game we told you not to play. We’re the ones who are feeling 100 percent of the pain,” her mother says while crying.

The intervention by Neha Fathima’s parents reportedly comes after she confessed her love for her co-contestant Tashi Raj alias Santhosh. In a recent episode of the show, Neha Fathima was seen telling Tashi saying that she liked him and intended to take their relationship forward after the show with the consent of her parents.
The conversation between Neha and Tashi happened following a tiff between the two regarding Tashi’s alleged proximity to another female co-contestant. Neha Fathima reacted angrily after learning that Tashi was flirting with a co-contestant named Vedangi. After the incident, Tashi clarified to Neha Fathima that he had no feelings for Vedangi. In an earlier episode, Tashi had also confessed his love for Neha to another contestant.
