Bihar horror: Woman gang-raped in Begusarai, doctors remove bullet, stone and wooden piece from her private parts

In a chilling case that has shocked Bihar, a woman from Begusarai alleged that she was gang-raped by five men who barged into her home late at night, locked her husband inside a room, and subjected her to brutal sexual violence. The case took an even more disturbing turn when doctors later removed a live bullet, a stone, and a piece of wood from her private parts during treatment.

The incident occurred on the night of June 11 in an area under the Chakiya police station limits. According to the survivor, she had stepped out to use the toilet around 11.30 pm when five men forcibly entered the house. The accused allegedly confined her husband to a room and waited for her to return.

As she emerged, the men allegedly gagged her and dragged her to an isolated spot near the house, where they raped her. The survivor alleged that when she attempted to resist and raise an alarm, the attackers slashed her chest and thigh with a blade.

After the assault, she managed to alert her family. Her younger sister-in-law arrived at the scene, freed her husband, and contacted the police. The woman was first taken to Barauni hospital and later referred to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Speaking to reporters, the survivor said she continued to suffer severe pain even after being discharged. During a subsequent medical examination, doctors reportedly discovered and removed a bullet, a stone, and a piece of wood lodged inside her private parts.

“I was in unbearable pain. During the examination, doctors removed a bullet, a stone and a piece of wood. I had lost consciousness during the attack and was unaware of what had been done to me,” she said.

The woman further alleged that this was not the first attack on her family. Around three months ago, three men had allegedly broken into her home, assaulted her, attempted to sexually attack her, and fled with cash and jewellery. Despite a complaint being lodged, she claimed no meaningful police action was taken.

Confirming the developments, DSP Anand Kumar Pandey said preliminary findings indicate that the woman’s allegations appear credible and that a scientific investigation is underway.

“The victim’s statement appears to be true. After returning home following treatment, she continued to experience internal injuries and pain. A bullet has been recovered from her private parts,” the officer said.

Police have said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. The DSP also assured that action would be taken against any police personnel found negligent in handling earlier complaints connected to the survivor’s allegations.
