In a major Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur, 8 jawans of the Dantewada District Reserve Guard and the driver of their vehicle lost lives after an IED blast by Naxals blew up the vehicle.

The police personnel were returning after a joint operation by the Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur police when the vehicle was struck by an IED attack by Naxals.
In later visuals shared by ANI, the charred remains of the vehicle were seen scattered.
This is one of the biggest Naxal attacks in the recent times. In April 26, 2023, 10 security personnel and their civilian driver were killed by Naxals blew up their vehicle in a similar manner.
