‘Boxer’ Rajdeep Sardesai watches Boxing day Test match with Congress leader in Australia

Rajdeep Sardesai, known for throwing blows at Modi supporters outside Madison Square in the United States, was seen watching the Boxing Day Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday (26th December).

Sardesai, who is mockingly referred to as the ‘boxer’ over the 2014 incident, was spotted watching the cricket match between India and Australia along with Congress leader Praveen Chakravarty.

Praveen Chakravarty is the Data Analytics head of the Indian National Congress and is a close aide of the party leader Rahul Gandhi.

Chakravarty is actively associated with Rahul Gandhi during the run-up to the 2019 general elections and many reports indicated that the Rafale bogey, which Rahul Gandhi invested a lot of political capital on, was his idea.

BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya lashed out at Rajdeep Sardesai for mouthing platitudes on journalism and then hanging out with Congress leaders.

“After issuing fan girl and fan boy certificates to fellow journalists, for merely doing their job, the doyen of yellow journalism is seen enjoying a game of cricket with Congressman Praveen Chakravarty, on Boxing Day, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground! This kind of hypocrisy is not for beginners…” he tweeted.
