Neighbours heard her screams
Muskan’s screams alerted people living nearby. Her neighbours rushed to her house and found her lying in a pool of blood. She had suffered multiple stab wounds.
She was immediately taken to the hospital, but she later died due to her injuries.
Sisters said Imran used to harass her
According to Muskan’s friend Aman, her elder sister, who is currently in Chandigarh, called him and asked him to rush to the house after learning that Muskan had been stabbed.
Aman said he immediately contacted another friend and asked him to reach Muskan’s house and ensure that she was taken to the hospital. By the time Aman reached the spot, an ambulance had already taken her away.
Muskan was the youngest among three sisters. Her sisters told Aman that Imran had been troubling and harassing her for some time. They said he had also done something similar in the past, which is why suspicion immediately fell on him after Muskan was attacked.
Muskan’s brother, Aakash, also told the police and family members that Imran had stabbed her. Imran worked as a gym trainer at the gym Muskan used to visit.
Police have formed multiple teams to trace the accused, who remains absconding. Additional DCP Abhishek Gupta said the police are searching for the accused. Investigators are also checking CCTV footage from the area to trace Imran and find out more about what happened before and after the attack.
