As Delhi goes to polls today (5th February), Delhi Police registered a case yesterday (4th February) against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Dinesh Mohaniya for allegedly making inappropriate gestures at a woman. Mohaniya, who is an incumbent MLA from Sangam Vihar Assembly seat, reportedly blew flying kisses at a woman.
A complaint was given by the woman against Mohaniya at the Sangam Vihar Police station. In her complaint, she alleged that Mohaniya blew flying kisses at her during an election campaign. She provided video evidence for it. The police have registered a case under sections 115(2), 78, 127(2), 333 and 3(5) of the BNS on the woman’s complaint.
Mohaniya is a candidate from the Sangam Vihar Assembly constituency against BJP candidate Chandan Kumar Choudhary and Congress candidate Harsh Choudhary.
Delhi is voting today for its 70 assembly seats. The polling started at 7 am in the morning and will continue till 6 pm in the evening.
