The New York Times reported that Elon Musk had joined the March 24 phone call during which US President Donald Trump spoke with Prime Minister Modi. Citing unnamed sources in the White House, the NYT stated that Musk had also participated in the roughly 40-minute conversation.
Neither the White House nor the Indian government publicly disclosed Musk’s presence. The NYT added that it was a rare and unusual instance of a private individual joining a phone call between two global leaders, especially with the ongoing war in West Asia.

Elon Musk has business interests both in India and West Asia. The official communication from both US and India had stated that PM Modi and Trump spoke about the escalating war in West Asia and particularly the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Elon Musk, who had seemed very close to Trump at the begining of his second term in the White House, had fallen out with the Trump administration after disagreements on some issues. There have been recent reports of them getting back on good terms again.
