In a joint operation by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), East Zone, and the Drugs Control Directorate, West Bengal, a raid was conducted at a warehouse in Kolkata and massive amounts of fake, and adulterated drugs were seized. As per reports, the raid, carried out at M/s Care and Cure For You in Kolkata, resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, and other drugs suspected to be spurious.

The total market value of the drugs seized is estimated at approximately Rs. 6.60 Crore. Samples of the spurious drugs have been sent for quality testing. The Ministry of Health shared in a statement that the remaining quantity of the drugs are being kept in the safe custody of CDSCO.
