In Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, a man posing as the chairman of the Human Rights Commission to demand security has been arrested. The accused, Anas Malik, is a resident of Kanth Road in Moradabad.
It is reported that on November 8, he sent letters to the District Magistrates of Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Amroha, and Noida, requesting security under protocol for a two-day event.
When suspicions arose, the Police Commissioner ordered an investigation, revealing that the accused was a fake chairman. Subsequently, he was arrested. Before this, the accused had managed to enjoy many perks, including obtaining police security in Gajraula.
The official X account of Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad released a press note following Malik’s arrest. Malik had been posing as chairman of the Human Rights Commission to demand security for himself.

The accused had also claimed to have strong connections in the state government and promised to secure police jobs for two individuals. Admit cards for UP Police recruitment were recovered from him.
